30 Day Photo Challenge – Day 1
A picture of yourself with 10 facts
1. I am a giant comic book nerd. I can describe in pretty epic detail, most of the story lines for marvel and dc for the last 30 years.
2. I am almost totally blind without my glasses. I can see about 12 inches before things become blurry.
3. I sleep 5 hours a night, which seems to be my sweet spot. Of course, I also have to get up at 5am to get ready for my commute.
4. I drink one energy drink in the morning when I get to work. Lately it’s been Xenergy Mango Guava.
5. I smoke about a pack a day of menthols.
6. I am married to a beautiful woman that I love.
7. My wedding cost more than my car.
8. I managed to break my wedding ring in the first three months of marriage, and had to wait three weeks for it be repaired.
9. I think that I tell people things, and when they have no idea what I am talking about I realize that I probably just imagined the conversation.
10. I write a lot, but never share it or post it anywhere. I don’t think it’s good enough.
And the evening winds down.
My daughter is winding down and falling asleep.
My feet are up on the couch, and I am currently listening to Five Finger Death Punch’s cover of Bad Company. 2012 is off to a decent start.
2012
A new year, fresh starts, a new life and lots of bills.
In the last 4 months I have gotten married and moved to a new city. Admittedly, I only moved about an hour north of where I lived before, but I don’t know where anything is. I went to hastings with my four year old daughter this weekend, and I somehow managed to turn a fifteen minute drive into a forty-five minute adventure of back streets and what looked like a crack whore (but was probably a civil servant) before finding the right place.
I wake up at five in the morning, and I catch a train from Santa Fe to Albuquerque. Daily commuting does afford me to time to do things like catch up on reading Victor Milan’s new book. I also got a kindle for Christmas, which means I can carry my library without breaking my back.
2012 is the year I’ll finish my first novel. Hopefully in time to sell some (self) printed copies at Abq Comc Expo. Back to photography, and continue job hunting in my new home.
At least until the Mayan calendar runs out…
